About Me
My name is Michelle Swafford. Most people know me as Michelle from the A&E show “Intervention”. I’m going on four years sober off an IV meth addiction. After seeing my episode people can not believe the transformation from where I was to where I am now! Showing up on Bay Recovery’s door step I wasn’t just caring a drug addiction but also years of baggage and serious abuse. Having been to other rehabs I wasn’t expecting this one to be any different, I just figured that I would just be a lot of paper work someone who have to do before punching out and going home. If I had ever been more wrong about something it would be making that assumption! From day one they set up a program that would help me in all the areas in my life then let me go at it at my own pace and when I was going downward they where there to walk me through it to get me on the right track. I think what makes Bay Recovery so unique is the people working there. I wasn’t just a name on a chart, they truly cared and wanted to see me succeed and what that gave me was someone I didn’t want to let down! Today I am married to a wonderful man, I’ve got the most precious baby boy and we have just recently gotten to purchase our very first home. That’s a long way from using and living on the streets. I am extremely blessed to have had the opportunity to learn and grow at Bay Recovery! I am still in constant contact with the people at Bay Recovery, and to this day I have a whole family of people I never want to let down
